🪄 Harry Potter Weekend at Redmond’s Forge

This weekend marked Harry Potter Weekend at Redmond’s Forge, a two-day celebration of wizarding wonder. Highlights included:

  • A full build of LEGO 75980 Attack on the Burrow on Saturday morning by Darren, Luke, and Rose.
  • A showcase centrepiece: LEGO 76405 Hogwarts Express – Collector’s Edition, built Sunday morning and now steaming its way into the LEGO City rail network.
  • Daily wand sorting ceremonies, complete with custom wand cards for young builders.
  • A Horcrux Hunt, Butterbeer stand, and LEGO Hogwarts diorama on display.

The magic was real, and the photos (and blog posts) capture the joy of building in a home that believes LEGO is as magical as any spell.

🚀 Artemis Space Launch System Blasts Off

LEGO Icons 10341 Artemis Space Launch System officially debuted this week and AFOLs are already hailing it as one of the finest NASA sets to date. We reviewed the set earlier this week, praising:

  • The massive scale and sleek design of the SLS rocket.
  • The highly detailed launch platform and cargo bay.
  • The seamless blend of real-world engineering and display-ready build aesthetics.

At €259.99, it’s not cheap, but for fans of spaceflight, it’s easily a top-tier Icons display set.

🏯 LEGO Ninjago 71814 Tournament Temple Reviewed

We also got hands-on with one of the standout summer 2024 Ninjago sets: 71814 Tournament Temple.

This 1,212-piece set features:

  • A dramatic red-and-gold tiered temple with garden base.
  • Swinging bridge duel between Kai and Lloyd.
  • Gorgeous cherry blossom trees added with love by Rose.

Luke (7) and Rose (4) joined Darren at the kitchen table for this build—and it quickly became a centrepiece of the LEGO Ninjago district at Redmond’s Forge.

🏰 Massive Castleknock LEGO Haul – Was It Worth €375?

This week also brought a major haul to Redmond’s Forge from Castleknock, 33+ sets including:

  • LEGO City classics (7936, 4637, 4442)
  • Juniors and Duplo cross-era boxes
  • Crates filled with instructions, minifigures, and rare parts

📊 Redmond’s Forge Hits 1,000 LEGO Sets

This week, Redmond’s Forge officially surpassed 1,000 LEGO sets in the collection, including boxed sets, loose instructions, and fully assembled models. Among the themes:

  • Star Wars: 12% of total value
  • Harry Potter: 9%
  • Modular Buildings: 6%
  • Hidden Gems: Castle, Pirates, and Adventurers

This collection milestone deserves its own spotlight, and it got one—complete with a stylised cartoon of Darren, Luke, and Rose celebrating surrounded by LEGO.
