And then there’s this haul – a six-hour treasure hunt across Wicklow and Dublin that culminated in the picturesque village of Shillelagh, where a LEGO goldmine waited. Packed with 43 LEGO sets (1 non-LEGO), all with their original instruction booklets and some with boxes, it felt like unearthing a time capsule from LEGO’s golden years – spanning themes from City and Friends to Star Wars, Jurassic World, and Speed Champions.

🏛️ Museum-Worthy Highlights
The LEGO Museum collection just got stronger, from the engineering marvels of the Excavator & Low Loader and Cargo Terminal, to an in-universe display like the Museum Break-In, and all the Star Wars Microfighters lined up like models at a sci-fi airshow.
🏙️ LEGO City Expansions
We’re adding a beach and harbour scene (with sets like Olivia’s Jet Ski and the surfer rescue), extending police and construction, and even placing a City Bus and corner shop for realism. This haul fills key civic and urban roles in the Forge’s LEGO City in Wicklow.
💰 Re-Sale Potential
Over a dozen sets, particularly from the Marvel, LEGO Dimensions, and Chima/Ultra Agents lines, it is recommended to have them resale but not for our LEGO Museum at Redmond’s Forge when we don’t have the set. Many are discontinued themes with niche fans, meaning good eBay turnover – especially with boxes and manuals included – but it doesn’t feel right, although we did already have the 5 LEGO Star Wars sets.
