lego look ahead june 2025

A sneak peek at what’s coming for builders, collectors, and dreamers this month

As the sun sets on the first day of June, LEGO fans around the world are already buzzing with anticipation. If May was about big reveals and surprise hauls, June promises to be a month of fresh launches, immersive storytelling, and mid-year milestones. Whether you’re tracking releases, growing your city, or just enjoying the build process, here’s what we’re most excited about in LEGO this month.

📦 Set Releases to Watch

1. LEGO DREAMZzz Season 2 Sets (June 5th)

Kicking off June is the highly awaited second wave of DREAMZzz sets. Expect bolder colours, wilder creature builds, and a continued emphasis on play-driven storytelling. Early leaked images point to a Nightmare Shark Ship and Z-Blob’s Tech Fortress that’ll turn heads on any shelf.

2. LEGO Harry Potter Summer Wave (Mid-June)

To mark the 13th anniversary of the Deathly Hallows films, LEGO is releasing a Room of Requirement Showdown, Hogwarts Boathouse, and a long-rumoured Durmstrang Ship remake. Watch for bundles and promos ahead of Back to Hogwarts season.

3. LEGO City and LEGO Friends Summer Expansions

June sees the launch of the LEGO City Jungle Explorers subtheme (complete with snakes and hidden temples) and new Friends builds, including an Underwater Rescue Centre and Pet Wellness Spa. Perfect sets to start summer with a splash.

📆 Key Events and Launches

LEGO CON 2025 – June 15 (Virtual Global Event)

LEGO’s annual direct-to-fans online showcase returns mid-month. Expect:

  • Live reveals (rumoured: new Lord of the Rings set)
  • Surprise BrickHeadz packs
  • Designer Q&As and digital building challenges
  • Exclusive LEGO Insiders giveaways

This is one for the calendar—and one of the best ways to catch global reveals in real-time.

Brickworld Chicago 2025 – June 20–23

The largest LEGO fan event in North America hits full stride this month. Our eyes will be on:

  • Record-breaking MOCs
  • Collaborative displays from international AFOLs
  • Coverage from LEGO Masters alumni
  • Possibly… a LEGO Fortnite demo station?

🧱 At Redmond’s Forge – What We’re Planning

Here’s what we’re building and launching locally in June:

  • LEGO City and Museum expansion: Sorting and displaying hundreds of new second-hand sets added in May
  • Monthly Minifig Mania at the Shop: Kids can build a free custom minifig every Saturday (while parts last)
  • ‘This Week in LEGO’ goes printable: We’re piloting our first zine-style edition for visitors to pick up and read
  • Pokémon & LEGO crossover corner: Dioramas and card displays side-by-side—because imagination has no brand limits

🛒 Retiring Sets on the Radar

This month may be your last chance to grab:

  • LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318)
  • LEGO Art: The Rolling Stones (31206)
  • LEGO Technic Ford Raptor (42126)

All expected to phase out by early July. Prices already creeping up on resale sites.

🔮 What We’re Hoping For (And Watching Closely)

  • Will LEGO Fortnite drop a new update with Creative Mode integration?
  • Could we see a Dune: Part Two teaser set ahead of SDCC?
  • Will LEGO DREAMZzz finally get a dedicated animated film?
  • Will the rumoured LEGO Zelda finally appear after Nintendo’s success with Animal Crossing?

As we roll into June, it’s clear this month won’t just be about the weather heating up; LEGO is turning up the creativity too. Whether you’re building dragons, trains, or dioramas for your local Forge, June 2025 promises to be one for the history books (or at least the display shelf).

Stay tuned, stay stacked, and we’ll see you in the next blog!
