Return to Cabra: The Friday Night LEGO Haul – 7 Sets for €52

cabra haul 2

After the first successful Cabra haul, the lure of another bargain was too tempting to resist. So, on Friday evening, Darren, Luke, and Rose loaded up and made a second journey around the M50 to Cabra for another late-night LEGO adventure.

This time:

  • 7 sets
  • €52 total
  • All brand new (5 sealed no box, 2 sealed in box)
  • 3 sets already owned

The question remains: was it worth it? And where will these sets land — Museum, LEGO City, or Re-sale?

Verdict

Was it worth it?

Absolutely. Even with 3 duplicates, the resale value easily covers the entire haul cost. The 60442 and 60443 City sets slot nicely into the LEGO City builds we’re developing. The Technic sets offer nice additions to the Museum collection or small Technic display corner.

The Star Wars and Speed Champions duplicates — all sealed — are extremely liquid and can fund future hauls or fill gaps in the collection elsewhere.

The Journey

Once again, it became a bit of a Friday evening ritual:

  • Dinner finished ✅
  • Luke and Rose loaded into the car ✅
  • Around the M50 under Dublin’s early summer sky ✅
  • Quick handover, friendly seller ✅
  • Back home to sort, review, and admire ✅

Cabra continues to be a surprisingly fruitful LEGO hunting ground. Two hauls in, and both have delivered excellent value with very little risk.

Running Total for the Cabra Series:

  • Total Spent: €192
  • Total Sets: 28
  • Total Estimated RRP: ~€630+
  • Running Discount: ~70% off retail

Next mission: keep an eye on the listings. Cabra may yet have a third act.
