Building the Future of Redmond’s Forge!
Today, Tuesday July 15th, the Redmond’s Forge crew, Darren, Luke, and Rose, are on a mission. Not one, but two major LEGO pickups are happening, and they’re both key to expanding both the LEGO City and our fast-growing LEGO Museum at Redmond’s Forge.
🧱 Stop #1: Rathfarnham – A Solid Score for €100
The morning starts in Rathfarnham, where we’re picking up a great Done Deal from our regular supplier:
- 10kg of loose LEGO
- 9 baseplates (perfect for expanding the LEGO City layout!)
- 1 collectible mini set
All boxed up for just €100, not bad at all. Whether it’s parts for modular builds, custom vehicles, or just bulking up our cityscape, this lot is sure to keep Luke, Rose, and Darren busy at the build table for days.
🚗 Stop #2: Castleknock – Star Wars & Ninjago Gold
Then it’s across the city to Castleknock, where another Done Deal gem awaits – a mega pickup for €305, including:
- 2 massive crates of LEGO
- A selection of LEGO Star Wars sets
- A variety of Ninjago sets
- Several other sets to be revealed after a deep-dive sort at home!
We’ve got high hopes this Castleknock haul will deliver some iconic pieces for both display and play. Darren’s especially curious to see what condition the Star Wars sets are in, will they end up on shelves in the Museum, or in action in the next big play battle?
🔧 Plans for the Haul
Every brick from today will find a home, either in:
- Redmond’s Forge LEGO City – expanding roads, buildings, vehicles, and minifigure life
- The LEGO Museum – where complete sets, rare pieces, and historical builds get pride of place
Luke has already picked out a few pieces from Rathfarnham he wants to use in his next MOC (and yes, there’s talk of building a new “Luke’s Tower” in the city). Meanwhile, Rose is in charge of sorting today, so wish her luck!
💬 Final Thoughts
Done Deal continues to be a treasure trove for finding bulk LEGO in Ireland. With a little patience and good timing, the builds practically find you. Today’s combined haul, over €400 worth of bricks, baseplates, and boxed sets, is a big step forward in the Redmond’s Forge journey.
