
Grand Opening in Belfast
- Northern Ireland’s very first LEGO Store opened its doors at Victoria Square, Belfast, on 28 August 2025, officially welcoming fans on Thursday, 28th August at 9 am. We got in on Wednesday evening thanks to Dave Fennell and the brick.ie community where we had the evening before to browse the store.
- Locals could even see Dáithí cutting the ribbon, and the store featured special opening weekend promos, including printed tiles and “LEGO Brand Store” exclusive items.
What LEGO sets released today (September 1)?
1. Harry Potter – Hogsmeade Village – Collectors’ Edition
- Released today for LEGO Insiders, full public availability begins September 4.
- A grand diorama-style set featuring 3,228 pieces and 12 minifigures, including iconic locations like the Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes, Owl Post, Zonko’s Joke Shop, crafted in a Tim Burton–esque aesthetic.
2. Wicked: For Good – New Set Line
- All seven new Wicked-themed sets officially launch today.
- Noteworthy titles include:

- Glinda’s Wedding Day (set 75688)

- A new wave of 12 collectible minifigures officially released today.
5. BrickHeadz – Harry Potter & Wicked Characters
- Three BrickHeadz sets released today:
- 40791 Goblet of Fire Figures – 671 pieces
- 40794 Elphaba & Glinda Figures – 325 pieces
- 40802 Luna & Thestral Figures – 292 pieces.
6. Back to Hogwarts – Gift With Purchase Offers
- Running from September 1–7, qualifying purchases of LEGO Harry Potter sets (e.g. £115 / €130 / US$130) earn:
- 40770 Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement (202 pieces)
- Quidditch Lesson set (30706) – thanks to Keith Fay for pointing out that Smyth’s had this available on Sunday also in stores in Ireland.
