This Week in LEGO: September 23rd – 29th, 2025

This week, all eyes are on the LEGO Star Wars Death Star – Ultimate Collector Series (UCS 75419). Officially revealed earlier this month, the set packs 9,023 pieces and 38 minifigures. It’s priced at €999.99 / $999.99 and slated for full availability 4 October (with Insiders early access from 1 October). I will be at the top of the queue in Dublin’s Grafton Street store. Ahead of that, leaked builds and previews have sparked fierceness in the fandom. Some love the ambition and detail; others critique the “slice” design (i.e. not a full sphere) and heavy use of stickers.

How Big Is Your LEGO Collection? Measuring the Madness

If you’ve ever found yourself staring at a wall of LEGO boxes, overflowing tubs of bricks, or carefully displayed modulars and wondered “Just how big is this collection?”, you’re not alone. LEGO Collectors love to measure, compare, and sometimes justify the size of the growing stash. But what’s the best way to actually measure a LEGO collection?

Announcing the First 10 Inductees to the Redmond’s Forge LEGO Wall of Fame

Today, we are proud to announce the first 10 inductees to the Wall of Fame. Each will have their name engraved on a LEGO tile, their minifigure placed proudly on the wall, and their story celebrated both on our site and in the credits of our videos. This group represents the heart of Redmond’s Forge, founders, haulers, enablers, legendary AFOLs, and sellers who have passed treasures into our care. I have given myself honourary membership.

Introducing the LEGO Wall of Fame at Redmond’s Forge

At Redmond’s Forge, we’ve always believed LEGO is more than bricks. It’s people, community, stories, and the shared passion that connects us across generations. From the AFOL who has been collecting since the 1970s, to the child discovering the joy of their very first minifigure, LEGO is about belonging. That’s why today we’re thrilled to unveil something we’ve been working on quietly in the background

This Week In LEGO: September 9th – 15th, 2025

The UCS Death Star 75419, I love this set. It’s a bold, impressive statement. The level of detail, the sheer scale, and inclusion of so many classic scenes make it more than just a display piece. It feels like a museum piece for Star Wars LEGO and I can’t wait to have it on display. Yes, there are valid grumbles about price, size, shelf space, and whether it’s worth the cost, but from my perspective, it delivers for what it promises. If you’re a seasoned builder or a Star Wars collector, this hits the sweet spot, although a lot of people are saying they will not buy it at this price.

The Most Expensive Haul Yet – Their Entire Collection

There are days in LEGO collecting you’ll always remember. Today was one of those days. It began the same as any other, but then a text from a familiar seller, the very same one who, back in August, entrusted us with their Sanctum Sanctorum, Destiny’s Bounty, and Loop Roller Coaster (that story is here).

But this time, the message wasn’t about three sets. It was about everything, their entire collection.
